We stopped running our own mail server. Inbound support email now lands straight in our app, and sending is billed per message.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

What can I receive?

Real inbound email at addresses you control — parsed MIME, attachments, text and HTML — read via the API or pushed to your webhook.

Can I send from my own domain?

Yes. Add a sending domain, publish the DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records MailAfrica generates, and send once all three verify.

How does billing work?

Every message — inbound or outbound — costs 5 TZS, debited from one wallet you top up with mobile money.

Is my data secure?

Messages live in your workspace's Postgres database, encrypted in transit, with role-based access and revocable API keys.

Do you have an API?

Yes — a REST API over HTTP and JSON, authenticated with a JWT or a MAIL_ API key, plus SMTP listeners for inbound and sandbox testing.

Is there a sandbox?

Yes. A Mailtrap-style SMTP catch-all lets you test outbound configuration without sending to the real internet.

Does it support Kiswahili?

Yes. Studio templates render in both English and Swahili, and every cloned template carries both language snapshots.

How do I get started?

Create an account, verify a domain or use the shared eclypso-template.webflow.io address, then send your first message from the API.
