MailAfrica ("we," "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) / PDPC guidelines. This Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account data: name, business name, email, phone number, domain information. Billing data: mobile money transaction details (processed via our mobile money payment providers; we do not store full payment credentials). Usage data: API/MCP call logs, message metadata (sender, recipient, timestamps, delivery status). Email content: content sent/received through the Service, processed to provide inbound parsing and outbound delivery.
To provide and maintain the Service (routing, parsing, delivery, hosted inboxes); to process billing via mobile money; to provide customer support; to monitor for abuse, fraud, and Acceptable Use violations; and to improve reliability and deliverability of the Service. We do not sell your data or the content of your emails to third parties.
We may share data with: payment processors, to complete mobile money billing; infrastructure/hosting providers, to operate the Service; and law enforcement, where required by Tanzanian law.
Data is stored on secured, self-hosted infrastructure. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
We retain account and message metadata for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward for legal/compliance purposes. Email content may be retained per your plan's inbox/archival settings.
Under Tanzania's data protection framework, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements; and withdraw consent for optional data processing. MailAfrica is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
